The original is 8x8x6 inches and the tall is 6x6x9 inches.
It actually has air inside. The plants recycle it naturally through photosynthesis, using carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen during the day. Water also cycles inside the glass by evaporating and condensing, creating a self-sustaining mini ecosystem that stays balanced when kept in indirect light.
Leaving them wrapped too long can cause stress or damage. Take the plants out of the box as soon as you get your product. Keep them watered for a few days, *not drenched soil, not in direct sunlight but a little light out in a open room is perfect.
Start with less water than you think, you can always add more later. A few sprays with our spray bottle is sufficient. If pouring water, do not drench soil! The Cork lid will allow water to slowly evaporate over time, you may need to add more after several months or more.

I initially put too much soil in, so the plants were too tall in the jar. I removed some, replanted and am happy with the results. ( I probably could remove about 1/2 inch of the soil still). The directions said use about 60% of the soil, for me it’s closer to 50%. But it’s fun figuring it out. I’d love to see more of a ground cover plant option like string of frogs, for example.

The terrarium kit was really well packaged and it turned out beautifully. My only complaint is that one of the plants (asparagus fern I think) is too tall for the jar. Even if I planted it at the very bottom of the jar, it would still be too tall. I gave it a substantial trim and planted it anyway. Other than that it is beautiful and a fun project!

I love this but plants crushed and out of their pots. I kept what i could. For the price id hope better transportation of the plants go keep them safe. But it does look nice and the light really makes it shine.
Really nice and easy. Only thing is one of my plants came out during shipping and died. Moss is a little brown, but hope it comes back.

I have a 2024 truck. You need to also buy a USB-C adapter for this to work. It fits loose in the socket. The light it provides is more yellow than the white I wanted. It provides helpful light.
I have been wanting a terrarium and not sure what all i needed. So when i found this, i was so excited. It was easy to put together and i LOVE IT!!!
Its a lovely set up, sadly the plants did not arrive in good shape. I will see if they survive. I would recommend better packaging for the plants so the survive UPS tossing anround boxes.
